This small local bistro nestled on Rue Jean-Pierre Timbault is the pride and joy of Belleville regulars. We had already mentioned the terrific brunch of Cannibale Café. Well, there is a new formula for all those who are hungry during the weekend: the Dimanche Pleine Mer formula puts seafood in the spotlight and serves Southern dishes like in Marseille. Deffo a holiday feeling.

Why wait for cocktail hour to enjoy seafood and good white wine? Start off the hostilities at lunchtime with a “by the waterfront” house menu (“les pieds dans l’eau”): 6 Jean d’Cancale oysters (€10), sea snail bulots-mayo (€9), cod accra fritters (€8), white tarama blanc (€12) or yellow bass, braised endives with orange and passion fruit (€22 ), to be enjoyed with a nice fresh Muscadet (€5).
But the star on the menu is without a doubt the amazing bouillabaisse made with red snapper and sea bream, with an espuma of “rouille” sauce (€24). A highly fragrant and well-served killer.
We like: its XXL terrace, slightly raised to take advantage of the first spring sun rays and watch the passerbys behind a pair of large sunglasses.
Every Sunday, February until June, from noon to 5pm. Reservations on line at admin.eatapp.co.
