Black walls, charcoal tiles, brushed metal, we are a far cry from the boardwalk good humor man and with reason. Flavors tend to be provocative and flirt with the forbidden: mojito; vanilla ice cream and hemp seeds; pear sherbet and elderberry liqueur. Less sulfurous but just as spicy: chocolate sherbet, wasabi, ginger; mango sherbet and Espelette pimento … A score of off-beat flavors to be enjoyed in a carton, on an cone or even a Skimo stick…
