For a change from the long diatribes of Antigone or Hamlet, how about if we opted for a good hour of laughs? This is what is waiting for you at A La Folie Théatre, with a totally zany play: Les Pleureuses, written and produced by Pierre-Louis Lanier.
The pitch ? Two women, the wife and mistress, find themselves looking over the grave of their deceased loved one. Faced with this unexpected encounter, protagonists engage in an off-the-wall settling of accounts leading to explosive deliriums and surrealistic situations.
On the menu ? Reincarnation, superstition, wild panther and a grey parrot from Gabon… A very clever interpretation with two comedians perfect in their roles.
We like : the incisive and screeching exchanges and replies of the two characters that everything opposes.
