No holidays at the beach for you this Summer? Stop complaining, we have found something to console you…
It just happens that a charming ephemeral terrace is squatting the indoor courtyard of the Abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés until the 21st of August. An authentic hidden corner of paradise that willingly flirts with the spirit of a Provencal market place—just a skip and a hop from the mythical Café de Flore.
On the program? Pétanque, farniente, concerts, performance, street-art and… happy hour! Everything we love. A glass of rosé here, a bowl of Sassy cider there, a glass of Delmotte to celebrate, slabs of charcuteries and cheese by Zoone (the Parisian caterer at the origin of the event). In the afternoon, drop in for tea time: couture cakes signed La Pâtisserie des Rêves, home-made ice cream by Christine Champault and the small colourful madeleines of Mesdemoiselles Madeleines.
Tops, the brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. You see, it can be nice to stay in Paris.
The Summer of Saint-Germain, until the 21st of August 2016.
