Two years after opening Tekés on rue Saint-Sauveur, Assaf Granit’s Israeli eatery continues to impress with a new 100% veggie brunch that captivates both die-hard vegetable enthusiasts and skeptical carnivores. Verdict: veggies have never looked this sexy.
Le’haïm!
Only Assaf Granit could bring together Jewish families seeking a cool hangout and Sentier’s socialites at one popular spot. Same place, same vibe: even on Sundays, Tekés retains its trademark frenzy and theatricality. Abba and the Gypsy Kings play on full blast while attentive servers with sunny accents warm the atmosphere. Regulars are ecstatic, and the place is always buzzing. Our recommendation? Grab a seat on the patio under the glass roof to enjoy the morning light.
Veggies All the Way
Smoked salmon and bacon for brunch? Overrated. At Tekés, the aroma of grilled vegetables fills the air: the buffet’s vegetable feast dazzles both the eyes and the nose. Straight from the counter, you’ll find the crème de la crème of Israeli cuisine: hummus, baba ganoush, cumin-spiced carrots, and tzatziki alongside Levantine-inspired salads. Our favorites? The tabbouleh with freekeh (cracked wheat), fresh mint, and feta, and the paprika-roasted cauliflower with a hint of spice. And since they’re veggies, you can indulge in seconds without guilt!
Next up is the famous shakshuka served at your table, a true Tel Aviv staple. Choose from three variations: green (spinach, chard, Persian lemon, feta), yellow (yellow zucchini, turmeric, yellow pepper), or red (red pepper, tomato, harissa) topped with fried eggs or eggplants. Pair it with unlimited hot drinks and fresh juices. For a sweet finish, save room for the addictive dark chocolate babka, various cakes (special mention to the pistachio one), spiced roasted fruits, halloumi with beetroot jam (a must-try!!), and freshly made mesmens (semolina bread) with honey. It’s a taste of the Orient in the heart of Paris that satisfies all appetites.
Brunch, €60 menu, every Sunday from 12 PM to 3 PM.
