Alain Ducasse, Cédric Grolet, Anne-Sophie Pic, Thibault Sombardier, Frédéric Anton… The list of chefs whose dishes you dreamt of tasting is long, very long. And the good news is that they will all be gathered at Grand Palais for the Taste of Paris, the most trendy food festival of the capital.
The concept? Discovering the signatures dishes of the most prestigious Parisian, never above €12. Four days during which 20 of the most famous chefs in Paris are delocating their restaurants under the glass nave for an unforgettable tasting experience. A dream occasion to sample iconic dishes by the leading star chefs at inside prices.
Your mouth is watering ? The fresh raviolis with black truffle of Denny Imbroisi (Epoca), toasted wholegrain bread, vegetables from the Château de Versailles, a spicy condiment like at the restaurant of Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée, the baos of glazed beef cheek of Tomy Gousset (Tomy & Co), the famous destructured kebab of Dan Yosha (Balagan), the lobster roll of Greg Marchand (Frenchie), the caramel barquette of François Perret from the Ritz… Yummy!
And let’s not forget the master classes ("Théâtre Laurent Perrier" with food and champagne pairings) as well as super high-end cooking classes ("Secrets des Chefs") with François Gagnaire, Olivier Boudot, Cédric Maton... Check out the complete programme on www.tasteofparis.com.
To be noted also, a large gourmet market comprising the stands of small well selected producers (the same who supply the star tables and other terrific discoveries).
We like: refreshing ourselves with the wonderful ice creams and sherbets of Philippe Faur, the ice cream guru.
