This is the recipe that will rock your barbecues and your TV evenings! A grilled mackerel (which can also be made in your oven) furiously light and foodporn to devour with a chickpea salad . In short: the menu for your next dinners!
Recipe for 4 people.
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade . Cut 3 notches on each side of the mackerel and coat them with the marinade, insisting well on the notches and the cavity of the fish.
Marinate ideally for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
Prepare the yogurt sauce with the bunch of cilantro , fresh onions , lime zest , salt and pepper .
Drain the chickpeas , mix with the chopped red onion , chopped coriander leaves , oil, curry , lime juice and zest and salt.
Preheat the BBQ , plancha or oven grill to the maximum. Grill the mackerel for 5 minutes per side.
Serve the mackerel with the chickpea salad, yogurt sauce and lime.
The trick? If the fish are large, grill them for 2 more minutes on each side.
