The 5 chocolate show rendezvous at the Salon du Chocolat
For its 20 year celebration, the must-go of chocolate addicts is des deliciously glam’. Be warned, this birthday edition of chocolate-week (cocoa offshoot of fashion week) will make you melt with pleasure.
Because this year, the venue is resolutely couture and arty. In addition to the traditional fashion show of chocolate dresses, born from associations between designers and master chocolatiers (every day from 3pm to 5pm), there will be an exceptional exhibition comprising 150 emblematic pieces recreated specially for the event. Valentino, Stella Cadente, Chantal to mention but a few.
Completely wild, a dozen contemporary artists and culinary designers have picked up the wager of creating works and installations in chocolate: the XXL gorilla of Richard Orlinski in an all cocoa version in collaboration with Jean-Paul Hévin, a stencil tag stamped with cocoa powder, an installation that combines playful lighting and chocolate matter, in addition to live performances by street-artists.
Tip top: top notch demonstrations by the best pastry chefs. Notably, Philippe Conticini who will personally be demonstrating his chocolate mousse from La Pâtisserie des Rêves (Thursday 30 October at 11am).
Of note also, incredible conferences including one on the cake-design art to learn how to customize your own cakes (Saturday 1st of November at 2pm).
And every day, free pastry workshops as well as a wide array of tasting ops.
