All the well-heeled Saint Germain regulars are hanging out at this new trendy bistro strategically located at Odéon between Comptoir du Relais and the Editeurs. Not surprising, it’s the famous Thierry Bourdoncle (Palette, Francoeur, Sénéquier) Who is behind this new success story… The promise of a fashion and sexy venue.
For sure it’s huge sun-filled terrace, spiffy decor ( signed Goutal), the large zinc bar filled with upscale regulars who come for a little socializing at happy hour as well as those opting for a sunny café croissant.
A la carte: nice Minuty rosé or spritzers at happy hour to enjoy while nibbling radishes with butter or a plate of charcuterie. They also serve good burgers, a raspberry tropézienne tart signed Sénéquier, as well as Berthillon ice cream and a super apple pie.
We like: being able to have dinner with the gang or solo at the communal table d’hôte of the English salon.
Tip Top: non-stop service, open late at night even of Sunday. To be noted: a terrific real barman!
PS: why an owl? Because it was the name of the original brasserie one century ago. We like vintage tributes!
