A childhood setting for an ultra regressive venue, the Toy Gallery of the Decorative Arts gallery is showcasing the playful offbeat works of Winshluss.
The one who co-produced the excellent animation film Persepolis with Marjane Satrapi has more than one trick up his sleeve. This show is an opportunity to discover all his talents through drawings, sculptures, posters, billboards and animations that bring to mind the universe of childhood. One finds each time this funny outlook that can even sometimes be totally cynical.
Under the pencil of this prolific artist, The Little Mermaid becomes a junk food addict, Hansel and Gretel are attracted by the smell and burgers by good old Ronald, toy soldiers fight a giant octopus and supermarket shelves are filled with canned hamster sausages!
Also to be seen: the exhibition by the Bouroullec brothers under the large nave, that unveils the creative process by the maestros of design, who have mastered the art of creating streamlined and functional furniture.
