Booba and Kaaris, the feuding brothers, reunited once again under the same roof, without any clash nor broken perfume bottles? Such is the successful feat of David Delaplace. The 28-year-old photographer spent three and a half years shooting the leading figures of the French-speaking rap players.
Result? Le Visage du rap, a remarkable photographic documentary including 100 photos currently displayed on the Maison de la Radio walls.
Oxmo Puccino, Doc Gynéco, Orelsan, Damso, Sniper… One encounters just as well precursors from the 80s, recognisable thanks to their greying temples, as well as the young punchline princes or gangsta collectives who left their imprint on hip hop. Verdict ? Hot stuff.
