The new bistrot on avenue Montaigne

The Bar des Théâtres was THE place to go on the very prestigious avenue Montaigne.

Danièle Thompson had even made it the rally point for her characters in her film « Fauteuils d’orchestre ». So, when Parisiennes learned their darling brasserie was about to close for good, it was a real drama.

Quite luckily, for all those want to stay on the ultra chic avenue, l’Entracte picked up the gauntlet at the same time as the opening of the Hôtel Montaigne.

New look for a new start but always in a rétro and anti-bling spirit. A huge red velvet banquette, large mirrors, photos of actors and actresses, comedians, a signature decor by Pierre-Yves Rochon and a special tribute to the theatre across the street.

While the former 'cuisine' was pretty basic, the new menu includes delicious dishes with much more flair: organic eggs with mayo (9 €), tartare of beef quickly seared (26 €), or the chocolate 'fondant', served with a corsican clementine sorbet (12€).

Upside : the ideal venue after going to see a play

Downside: prices are much more « Montaigne » than before.
