The New Marine Table That Delights the Triangle d'Or

Indoor dining area of Janette seafood bar in Paris, featuring a cozy atmosphere and decor inspired by fishermen's cabins.

Calling all seafood lovers who happily devour a good plate of oysters after a hard day’s work. On the very chic Avenue George V, just a stone’s throw from the Crazy Horse, Janette Bar de la Mer brings Cap Ferret right into the heart of the Triangle d'Or. Shellfish and crustacean operation underway!

Welcome Aboard

The new baby of the Richard family, which owns no less than 13 restaurants in Paris, Janette Bar de la Mer has everything to please. After all, in the Triangle d'Or, it’s tough to find a friendly, unpretentious spot to enjoy oysters and high-quality fish, sourced from the best local producers.

First, we have fun examining every corner of the room, which gives the impression of stepping aboard a fishing boat. A Captain Haddock figurine here, fish and globes there, not to mention countless bottles, exotic shells, mermaids, birds, and ship models anchored on shelves. From the bow to the stern of the restaurant, the escape is guaranteed—Jack Sparrow is the only thing missing to complete the scene!

Marine Delights

The feast begins with the Cap aperitif, just like the ones enjoyed with feet in the sand at the Ferret: 6 fines de claire N°3 oysters and a glass of Chardonnay (€18), organic pink shrimp (€16), or Normandy whelks (€14).

For starters, go for the seabass carpaccio with fennel and pomegranate (€26) or the crab avocado with spiced mayonnaise, mmmhh (€24).

Next up: a sole meunière (€62), gorgeous seafood platters (€45–€80), or an irresistibly bold scallop risotto, adorned with slices of guanciale (€32).

Finally, the must-try: freshly churned homemade ice cream (2 scoops, €10) or spoonable desserts to share—or not—like salted butter caramel rice pudding (€9) or chocolate mousse (€11).

Open Monday to Friday from 12 PM to 3 PM and 6 PM to 11 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12 PM to 11 PM with continuous service.
