In the Marais, near BHV, there exists a hot bed of fashion. A real incubator, mixing new and old, design and vintage, food and fashion! A temple of good taste, I have named ARCHIVE 18-20. A discovery that is going to reconcile you with shopping.
In 2015, Séverine Lahyani, the talented designer of the menswear label in Paris: Ly Adams fond the place ideal to launch her concept store : a former workshop located at18-20 rue des Archives, at the heart of the Marais. Walking down the long corridor leading to the shop, one mostly notices the modernism of the place: a glass and brick mix, like in the hipster districts of Brooklyn.
What does one find? A luminous space under the 500m2 skylight, a real cocktail of established or budding designers. With Comme des Garçons shirts (starting at €300 ), YMC (on sale at €60 ), sweatshirts Aimé Leon Doré sweatshirts (€165) and Veja sneakers (€115), Vans and Converse (on sale at €59), or the collab Raf Simons x Adidascollab (on sale at €195). But also vintage pieces (pop up Brut Clothing pop up), objects and design furniture (Daniel Gallo lamps starting at €480), international editions & press (with specialized magazines such as Dazed or i-D), cosmetic products (perfumes), candles (Maison Nérie €35 or La note Parisienne €45), original alcohols and vegetal installations. A well-oiled melting pot that appeals to trendies and a stylish arty fauna.
We adore: Le Comptoir (the onsite restaurant) does not escape the rule with its thirty places where each day three or four different meals are served (bowls between €11 and 13 €; smoothie bowls €5 to 8 ) along with vegetarian juices squeezed right then and there—the ultimate in healthy.
