A skip and a hop from Canal Saint-Martin: the place is really buzzing. The alibi of this trendy crowd clustered on rue des Vinaigriers? Gravity, the new flagship of cool hipsters that deals house cocktails and tapas.
A decor just as we like them, very surfer chic with a wave-shaped bar that brings to mind the spirit at Mary Céleste. Not surprising, since the barman worked there. Behind the counter, they shake up exotic and carefully put together potions such as “Capre ou pas Cap” or the “Black Popeye” ( 12€) and good wine.
For eats: a real delight with Frédérick Boucher, a highly inspired Quebec native who whips up gourmet comfort-food (a high end cheese puff, a mini fish-burger, pancakes with cèpes mushrooms (3 € to 8€ per plate) —but we are saying no more.
Open every day from 7pm to 2am.
