If this summer of 2024 isn't the most challenging in terms of heatwaves (at least for now!), sweet-toothed adults can't imagine July and August without indulging in loads of ice cream. Fear not: our favorite Parisian spots have just launched new mouth-watering creations (we've tested them all) ranging from popsicles, Italian gelato, traditional ice cream, plant-based options, and even gargantuan ice cream sundaes. Panettone Ice Cream by Christophe Louie,

The king of panettone, Christophe Louie, needs no introduction. For the summer, this passionate artisan transforms his signature cake into a light milk cream ice cream, delicately flavored with orange and vanilla, with buttery brioche notes. The killer detail: pieces of panettone enveloping the ice cream. A true favorite!

Glace Affogato et Matchagato - Café Nuances ice cream

If you needed another reason to try the entire menu at Café Nuances, here it is! The cool guys behind Paris' trendiest coffee shop have launched our new obsession: an affogato made with house-made Fior di Latte ice cream, topped with an espresso shot. An airy delight also available in a matcha version for fans of this ultimately delicious Japanese green tea.

Ice creams from Oatly Soft Serve Pop-Up

Your fridge is probably stocked with various oat milk products from Oatly, the Swedish brand that revolutionized our home lattes. Genius idea: they're setting up a super fun pop-up in the Marais, featuring a different concept each week, unveiling unique and vegan “soft serves.” Collaborators like Toilet Paper, Big Mamma, Mao Corp, Jajaja, and Bike Repair Shop will take turns presenting creative flavors such as olive oil, black sesame, corn, and activated charcoal. Get your phone ready: the decor is amazing!

À la Mère de Famille

Mère de famille ice cream

The famous chocolate shop À la Mère de Famille offers a refreshingly delightful break with its new Papino popsicles. These gourmet Calippos come in four flavors: passion fruit/mango, wild strawberry, lemon/lime, and white peach, with small fruit pieces for extra indulgence. Yum!

Kapé ice cream

Have you heard of yams? This root vegetable similar to sweet potato is the ingredient in Kapé's signature Ube Ice Cream, whose intense and fascinating violet hue will light up your Instagram stories. This coconut milk ice cream is served Italian-style. Enjoy it at the table in this calm and perfectly designed spot in Oberkampf, or take it to go. It would be crazy not to try it!

Badiani 1932, the undisputed reference for Florentine gelato, opens its first French store at the Carrousel du Louvre. Discover 16 perfectly executed flavors, including La Ville Lumière, imagined and served only in Paris (Venezuelan dark chocolate, raspberry jam), and La Dolcevita, the winner of the best flavor at the Gelato Festival 2015, consisting of Buontalenti ice cream (cream, egg, milk, and sugar) topped with cocoa sauce and Piedmont hazelnuts. Food porn enthusiasts will love the gelato croissant (€7.50) or the gelato burger (€7.50). Phenomenal.

Adjacent to Brasserie des Prés, this icy spot offers homemade ice creams and sorbets, with a short menu of flavors that everyone will enjoy: vanilla, cherry yogurt, Corsican mandarin, Sicilian lemon, and seasonal fruit sorbets like blackcurrant. For Paris-Brest fans, the house unveils an ice cream version of its mascot dessert: yummy! The cheekiest indulgence? Adding toppings of your choice (crispy raspberry, pink praline, pistachio, chocolate shavings, chocolate nougatine shavings) and sauces: salted butter caramel, chocolate sauce, or red fruit coulis.

Barely a year after its opening, regulars of the charming chocolatier William Artigue are already flocking to bite into its terrible sharing bites, now transformed into a vanilla ice cream covered with caramel and caramelized hazelnuts, all coated in dark chocolate. A round and addictive treat... you'll eat it in one bite!

Le Café-Glacier du Procope

In 2024, the mythical Procope unveils a new Café-Glacier in perfect harmony with the aesthetics of the place and its grandiose past (remember that the Procope, before being a brasserie, was a café and even the first to serve this beverage in the 17th century, just arrived from the Ottoman Empire!). At snack time, order a “gourmet break” with ice creams and sorbets in creative sundaes: Fior di Latte ice cream with whipped cream and dulce de leche arrives overflowing in its cup and is sure to satisfy your sweet cravings.
