If new spots are popping up all over the 18th arrondissement, we've just discovered a must-book gem for your next aperitif. Code name: Comptoir de Crème. Located near Jules Joffrin, just a few steps from the first Crème restaurant, this new "repaire canaille" by Camille Coiffard and Maxime Guillemet is likely to become your new favorite hangout.
GREAT WINE, DELIGHTFUL DISHES
The idea behind this wine bar where you feel right at home? Share as many small plates as possible and get recommendations for fantastic bottles in a country-style decor with high tables and candles, all curated by Demain Design agency and architect Maurine Maccagno.
Start with an impressive Italian Chardonnay at a great price (7 € per glass, 29 € per bottle) to properly welcome Chef Severino Malerba's playful creations: tarama & tortilla (9 €), three-cheese arancini (9 €), pistachio mortadella (10 €), creamy burrata with tomato sauce (10 €), beef carpaccio with parmesan, pesto, and arugula (14 €)... Among our favorites: roasted eggplant with tahini sauce, pomegranate, and hazelnuts (11 €), a cheeky truffle croque-monsieur (15 €), and patatas bravas with miso mayo (7 €). The ultimate passion is the olive oil chocolate mousse (9 €) to perfectly round off an impeccable evening!
Open Tuesday to Thursday from 6 PM to midnight, and Fridays and Saturdays until 1 AM.
