It is one of the best bakeries in Paris. In Belleville , the Pâtisserie-Boulangerie Benoît Castel, which houses a tea room area, has become in a few years a real institution, with the line that goes with it.
The place
The secret of its success? Natural products and hyper qualified, organic flours, rigorous sourcing and a desire to reconnect with the simple pleasures of the art of French living. Its bread , croissants, panettone and cabbage will make all foodies salivate.
What we do not know is that the address offers completely delirious all-you-can-eat brunches every weekend, installed on large wooden tables in the heart of the bakery, just above the workshop, with a view direct on the sumptuous bread oven.
On the program of delicacies
Let's go for a real gourmet break. All you have to do is pick your plate from the wooden dresser and help yourself to the trays straight out of the oven. Concretely: pastries and special breads served with jams and homemade semi-salted butter, fruit tarts, chocolate fondant , crumble….
Pick from the buffet: market salads , Lorraine or vegetarian quiches , the famous roast chicken and oven-baked vegetables, caramelized pork ribs , small new potatoes , creamy scrambled eggs , homemade soups for face winter, and a fine selection of cold meats and raw milk cheeses.
Without forgetting the basket of seasonal fruits, the rice pudding with a good salted butter caramel, the fruit salad, a freshly squeezed juice, and hot coffee or tea in self-service. If with that you are still hungry ...
The extra thing
As everything takes place by reservation, you finally have the perfect place to disembark with all your group of friends for a brunch like at home, the exceptional menu and more. The good tip: book for the second service, just to stay at the table all afternoon… Who says better?
