A skip and a hop from the Marais and Carreau du Temple, here is the ephemeral place that is creating the buzz! And with reason: “Black Supermarket”, incubated by Carte Noire Espresso, concentrates all the latest fads: street art + coffee-shop + street food + happy hour & cocktails + chill out + yoga in a very arty atmosphere… Everything we like.
Start with the underground decor of this abandoned supermarket where carte blanche was given to well-known 10 urban artists. Swiz, Katre, SUn7 or Teurk have taken over the space with street art frescoes that will be destroyed with the place!
The presentation includes cute decorating nods to old recycled caddies transformed into fab coffee-shop armchairs. In other words: this is the ideal spot to come nestle with the gang all day long to sip the best cafés, cappuccinos, delicious lattés concocted by the barista and great “fast-good” favorites such as their 'Croque Truffe' toasted bread with truffle cream (15€). Yumm!
In the evening, the café bar offers cocktails and nibbles (cheese and grilled bread, tartine breads with pastrami) where all the Parisians in the know show up to chill and listen to good sounds.
The must? Free sports courses such as master class of booty shake “Dancing like Beyoncé” every Tuesday evening or yoga lessons every Saturday ensured by Aria, the teacher of stars (Karlie Kloss).
To be noted also: artist performances, bloggers’ wardrobe sales to nab nuggets at mini prices on the 22th of January and the 7th of February
