Before going to work, for a professional appointment or to treat oneself to a moment alone on a pretty terrace: taking the time for a breakfast, it’s always a good idea! Under an ultra-chic glass roof, in a tiny coffee shop, at the café with the most beautiful view on Place de la Concorde, in a tea room on Champs-Élysées, in a travel-inspired version or outright palace-style: overview of the best places to have breakfast in Paris.
MAISON FRANÇOIS 1ER: THE MOST ELEGANT
The place: we love the pocket-size format and the velvety decor of this charming spot just a stone’s throw from Champs-Élysées. Newly opened, Maison François 1er welcomes business meetings (or not) from breakfast to dinner, every day non-stop. This former wine bar has been given a superb facelift in the hands of Nathan Litera, who has turned it into a setting that is both cozy and friendly, where one can choose to sit on banquettes, around a round table, on the terrace (adorable in nice weather), at the bar, or at a cool high-top table (our favorite). Also great: the incognito lounge at the back of the restaurant.
To start the day well: one chooses their set menu depending on the mood of the day, always accompanied by coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The Classic (€25) consists of a freshly squeezed fruit juice (orange or lemon), baguette slices with butter and jam or a croissant or pain au chocolat, as well as organic eggs served scrambled, as an omelet, or fried. More of a Healthy team? Replace the bread slices and pastries with an avocado toast and poached egg, along with 0% fat yogurt and its granola (€29).
Maison François 1er, 64 rue François 1er, Paris 8e. Open every day non-stop from 8 AM to 1 AM. 09 67 47 94 04.

KUNA BADA: THE MOST INDIAN
The place: tucked away just steps from Place des Victoires, the new spot from The Kuna Family has gone big, gone beautiful. Intense, Kuna Bada lives to the rhythm of Parisian brasseries and opens its doors non-stop from morning to evening. Injected with colors that skyrocket the happiness hormones, Kuna Bada boasts a graphic and textured aesthetic that joyfully mixes patterns and materials. What we love: the fauna and flora-themed frescoes, signed by artist Solange Godard. Best seat? Upstairs, by the windows, to enjoy the beautiful morning light.
To start the day well: get ready for a feast that will easily make you skip lunch! Order up the Naan eggs & potatoes to start: yum (€9)! Also available in a bacon & eggs version. Fall for the gorgeous Rava Dosa, a thin and crispy crepe flavored with spices and herbs (€8). The naans, perfectly fluffy, are the stars of the menu and come in three devilish recipes: Naan banana chocolate, Naan salted caramel & almonds (€6), and Naan Nutella (€5). Want to keep it light? Go for the granola bowl, a mix of toasted oat flakes, cashew seeds, almonds, pistachios, and cinnamon, served with fresh seasonal fruits and a creamy coconut yogurt (€9). Feeling bold? The stuffed keema kulcha, a soft bread filled with spiced minced meat and baked in a tandoor oven, is a must-have (€4). On the drinks side, too cute, the Chai Latte served in a cookie cup (€5). To get in tune with Indian flavors, a rose lassi (€6) or a well-spiced golden latte (€5)!
Kuna Bada, 42 rue d’Argout, Paris 2e. 01 88 61 47 41. Open every day from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
CULT: THE MOST ALL-DAY LONG
The place: seriously stylish with its moldings, its ceiling mirror, its dark wood banquettes, and its collection of vintage vinyls, Cult stands out as the temple for brunch lovers who can indulge in their passion full-time from 8 AM to 6 PM. Planted near the big department stores, this trendy coffee shop buzzes with life and influences, just like Emma and Omar, its thirty-something founders, passionate about freshly ground coffee and cosmopolitan small bites. The extra thing: a large terrace to relax under the Parisian sky…
To start the day well: in the sweet category, this pretty trio of homemade pancakes served with fresh fruit and a naughty dollop of mascarpone cream (€13). Pair it with the house’s star drink, the cozy rose and cardamom latte (€6). Cheesecake (€6), banana bread (€5.50), and matcha-choco cookie (€5.50) also guarantee indulgence. More into savory? Then without hesitation, go for the grilled chicken cheese, dipped in a creamy homemade truffle mayo: absolutely delicious! (€16.50). The classic avocado toast comes in several versions with egg, salmon, or bacon extras (from €13.50). We love: the grilled halloumi sticks (€4.50). And special mention for the excellent coffee sourced from L’Arbre à Café.
Cult, 13 rue La Fayette, Paris 9e. Closed for a few days until March 17, otherwise open every day from 8 AM to 6 PM.
MAISON GAZELLE: THE MOST MOROCCAN
The place: planted in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Maison Gazelle is the spot that brings an exotic touch to the neighborhood. Run by Sara Boukhaled, this coffee shop embraces a Franco-Moroccan lifestyle, with a traveler’s decor that leaves its mark from the furniture to the tableware, all the way to the soundtrack. A sunny haven with soothing vibes, perfect place to start the day.
To start the day well: a fusion menu that mixes indulgence and wellness, featuring a collection of signature healthy drinks packed with superfoods. We are already addicted to the Océan Kiss, blue like the sea, with spirulina, dates, pink salt, and almond milk (€11) and to the Moroccan Glow, a blend of almond milk, marine collagen, rose water, beetroot powder, and honey (€11). To satisfy your appetite, go for the extra "Franco-Moroccan Breakfast" served on a large ochre plate, featuring msemen and baghir crepes, croissant, baguette, amlou, honey, butter, fig jam, black olives, cheese, and coffee (€18). Fan of French toast? The one from Maison Gazelle, infused with almond milk, is just incredible (€12). Also on offer: super bowls with plant-based yogurt (from €12) and Moroccan-style eggs enhanced with dried beef, perfectly filling (€12).
Maison Gazelle, 160 boulevard Saint-Germain, Paris 6e. Open Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 7 PM.
Breakfast in america : the most us
The place : Red booths, jukebox, pancakes... While the Marais spot is getting a little makeover, the doors remain open at Champs-Élysées and Quartier Latin, where the super friendly staff welcomes guests in English in an ever feel-good atmosphere.

Nothing cures hangovers quite as effectively.
