We've discovered a true gem in the heart of the Marais! At Bâton Rouge Paris, you can create your very own custom, eco-friendly lipsticks during a small-group workshop. Unique in Europe, this lab-boutique has become the go-to spot for a fun girls' day out or a bridal shower, promising a playful and super girly experience.
The Project
Bâton Rouge Paris is the brainchild of Christelle Percheron, a chemist who spent years struggling to find the perfect lipstick shade. So, in 2021, she created an amazing space where customers can design their own lipsticks. Clients now flock to the boutique to craft their perfect lipstick.
Good news for globetrotters: if you've already created your shade in-store, your custom lipsticks can be shipped worldwide. Don’t have time to visit in person? You can also shop online for shades created in collaboration with influencers like @clotildemakeupartist (prices range from €32 to €40).
How does it work?
Here’s how your custom lipstick experience goes (make sure to book your workshop in advance!):
Step 1 : Share your vision! Whether it’s for a daily look, a special occasion, or just for fun, the choice is yours. Recreate the color of your favorite lipstick, match it to an outfit or accessory, or design a totally unique shade with the help of the passionate makeup artists.
Step 2 : Choose your texture. Matte, satin, natural (97.5% natural ingredients), gloss, or liquid matte – now’s the time to pick your favorite finish!
Step 3 : The scent! A fun and super Instagrammable moment: lift the little bells to smell a range of 100% natural, allergen-free fragrances, from the softest to the boldest. And if you prefer no fragrance, that’s an option too!
Step 4 : The magic happens. While the experts craft your custom lipstick, you’ll watch the creation of your personalized product in the lab.
Bonus: Love a lipstick from another brand that’s been discontinued or too expensive? Bring your shade to Bâton Rouge, and they’ll recreate it exactly. How cool is that?
Open every day from 11 am to 7 pm. The workshop lasts 30 minutes and costs €50.
