This is the shop that all dog lovers secretly dreamed of. An adorable concept store that brings together the most cutting-edge, practical and stylish essentials for dogs, far from the ugly comforters, impossible harnesses and dubious rewards of standard pet stores. Barkers & Brothers is the perfect project by Marie Dardaine, ex-pubard and mother hen of Ralph, her Akita mascot of the store. We take you.
A pretty shop in the heart of Montmartre
You will have to go up to Montmartre , on a pretty romantic square like you can only find there, to reach this little Eden for spoiled (rotten) dogs. First, we grab walking accessories : leashes , harnesses and leather pouches from our favorite Astré (€49-79), a Carhartt canvas coat (€49), a lilac Maxbone harness (€60), a small cloud-patterned knit sweater (€60) and other colorful leashes and collars, not forgetting Monsieur Hardi transport bags , expensive but ultra-quality (€225).
Then, your living room will no longer look like a crazy daycare center thanks to the selection of beautiful velvet baskets, crochet toys (burger, kebab…) or felt, as well as pastel ropes and the sublime Springer water bottles (€23) and Maxbone retractable bowls in soft colors to hang on the bag with a carabiner (€18).
Do you know the puppuccino?
Here, no croquettes (although the marble bowls clearly catch our eye, €70) but healthy treats like those from Fin Museau (spirulina / carrot, moringa / zucchini, hemp banana, €11.90) or Botanical Bones with plants and peanut butter (€13). But the favorite for doggies to enjoy on the spot is the puppuccino , a Starbucks version dog friendly: a very digestible coconut milk mousse decorated with pieces of chicken (€3.50), which they will soon find difficult to eat. pass.
dog wash
Upstairs at Barkers & Brothers is a small bathroom specially designed for animals with a bath/shower available, shampoos, hair dryers, brushes and combs, to avoid disaster at home (tiled flooded, soaked sofa, strewn hairs…). Count 25 € per hour for a homemade grooming session, but elsewhere.
Open Wednesday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. / 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
