Augustin, the new buzzing “bistro” on rue Daguerre

Augustin

It’s the new hot bistro that all the Parisians who enjoy authentic cuisine and easy tabs dream of. Located on rue Daguerre, Augustin is a winner...

The recipe of happiness? A cool and cozy decor + a very friendly atmosphere + a start-main dish-dessert formula at 41 € that is hard to find in Paris + a great terrace (heated), at the helm, chef Vincent Deyres (1 star in Calvi) and as MC, Augustin Grisoni (Villa Corse).

Take your pick! A superb fresh stuffed artichoke, chicken breast braised with champagne and foie gras (a killer!), a risotto of scallops that is worth the detour or a Corsican sea bass with veggies and chestnuts. For dessert: go for the cheesecake, enhanced with Corsican lemons or the caramel rice pudding.

Tops: choose the menu (41 €) unless you prefer the “plate” option: all the starters are at 13 €, dishes are from 24 € and desserts 12 €. For meat lovers, forget the menu and zero in on the veal chop served with small potatoes with cèpes mushrooms (31 €).

We adore: the typical Parisian terrace on a pedestrian street.

Open Monday to Saturday from 8am to midnight. Closed on Sunday.
