The best Lebanese in Belleville

Atelierlibanais

The spirit: if your heart flutters when you hear the enchanting words        « hoummous », « labneh » and « pitas », this is the place for you. L’Atelier Libanais is a cantina with a very detailed decor, right down to the cement tiling and vintage plates, without forgetting the adorable tins where forks and knives are stored. A round-trip ticket to Beirut with your Navigo pass.

The boss: Mikael, a Parisian who fell in love with Lebanon and brought in a chef to create the best Lebanese in Belleville. On the program: nice little motherly dishes served in a cantina with lots of atmosphere.

The hipster crowd of the area is of course on deck here.

Drinks and eats: freshly sourced products: labneh, houmous, taboulé, moussaka, caviar d’aubergine (amazing), warak enab (stuffed vine leabes ), falafels… (15,90 €). Tops: veggie twigs also have special options with a selection of terrific vegetarian dishes mezze. To be washed down with gourmet mint tea and irresistible pastries (5,90 €).

Special kudos for the corner-shop. Alep soap, wicker baskets, rose or orange blossom syrups, teas, spices… Small treasures scattered everywhere on the shelves at mini prices. Keep your eyes peeled!
