cryotherapy institute in Paris

An age-old practice recognized for its health benefits since the 19th century, cold exposure is now a widespread, supervised practice commonly offered in wellness centers. Highly popular among athletes who use it for muscle recovery, ice baths and cryotherapy are now accessible to the general public — and for good reason! The benefits are countless: this practice is now known to reduce stress, boost the immune system, improve blood circulation, reduce inflammation, regulate sleep, and also enhance mental well-being. Its invigorating effect also helps with weight loss and slowing down skin aging. Do It rounds up three totally cool spots to take care of yourself the chill way.

Hibernatus at Octane

cryotherapy session at Octane

Just steps away from Opéra, France's only Biohacking center delights athletes and anyone who enjoys cutting-edge techniques to optimize both physical and mental health. Through innovative technologies and equipment, the center harnesses the power of natural elements — heat, cold, light, oxygen, and even gravity. These non-invasive treatments combine to create powerful wellness rituals that can be integrated into your routine. Here, you can fully immerse yourself in a cryotherapy chamber or get your face sprayed with cold nitrogen.

The benefits: Created by François Galite, a sports and tech enthusiast, the center offers the most advanced protocols for optimizing athletic performance. Just a few minutes in the chamber can boost immunity, metabolism, reduce chronic pain and inflammation, promote muscle recovery and healing, and improve skin health. Facial cryotherapy stimulates collagen production and blood flow — a potent anti-aging treatment that reduces wrinkles and revives your complexion.

The process: Exposed to temperatures between -110°C to -140°C for 1 to 3 minutes max, the body triggers a beneficial natural defense response that impacts the blood vessels and directs blood outward. As the body returns to a normal temperature, blood flow resumes to oxygenate tissues.

The extra perk: Cryo sessions can be integrated into a full, high-performance ritual. Choose between two 1.5-hour rituals: Recovery (cryotherapy, infrared sauna, and pressotherapy) or Longevity (Cryo > Red light > Hyperbaric O2). You can also create a custom ritual based on your needs and preferences.

Octane, 7 rue La Fayette, Paris 9th. Cryotherapy session €60, Facial cryotherapy session, Recovery Ritual 1h25 (€110), Longevity Ritual 1h35 (€130).

Frozen Queen at Ice Club

cryotherapy session at Paris Ice Club

A frozen bathroom in a private mansion on rue de Trévise — that’s the vision of Caroline Arditti, founder of Paris Ice Club, a former cold-weather avoider turned ice bath convert. After her first ice bath, Caroline’s relationship with cold was forever changed. Trained directly by Wim Hof (the famous Iceman), she’s built a team of passionate professionals.

The benefits: Caroline approaches cold immersion as therapy. And no wonder — it promises stress reduction, a surge of adrenaline and dopamine, improved mental resilience, and better emotional management. A compelling stat: dopamine levels increase by 250% after an ice bath.

The process: At Ice Club, the keyword is breathing. The session starts with an intro to the benefits of the experience, followed by a guided breathing session — essential prep for the immersion that follows. To finish, a friendly debrief that warms the heart!

The little extra: “Breakfast & Ice” and “Lunch & Ice” formats are available for companies looking for a frosty team-building event. There's even a new 100% custom “Love & Ice” format for couples who enjoy intense sensations together.

Paris Ice Club, 32 rue de Trévise, Paris 9th. €99 for a 2-hour Discovery session and €45 for a 1-hour Ritual session. From 6 people onwards, you can book a private frozen experience.

Slavic-style at Kupala

cryotherapy session at Kupala

Welcome to a rustic cabin with a fireplace, wooden logs, and a kubel (cold wooden bath). The idea? Treat yourself to a unique cleansing experience for body and soul… Slavic style! Warning: not for the faint-hearted. Here, the ice bath isn’t even the wildest part.

The process: At the start of each session, you’re taken care of by a towering “Steam Master.” The ritual begins in a Banya (a mix between sauna and hammam) with temps between 50°C and 75°C and 60% humidity. Lying face down with your head in a cool, pine-and-eucalyptus-scented air hole, the Parenié (or flagellation) begins with bundles of leafy branches soaked in hot water — to stimulate blood flow and the immune system. Then comes the plunge: the Steam Master dunks you into a very, very cold bath! For the brave, there’s the Siberian Parenié challenge — fizzy icy water contrasting with the banya heat. Pure bliss!

The benefits: No more muscle tension, a toned body, squeaky clean skin, and a boosted mood.

The little extra: You can add bonus treatments like body scrubs, massages, or foot baths to leave completely refreshed!

Kupala, 20 rue de Vouillé, Paris 15th. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 10pm. Discovery Ritual and Optional Extras — book online.
