Your program for a dream weekend in Rome

Rome

Roman Holidays with Audrey Hepburn , La Grande Bellezza de Sorrentino , The Talented Mr Ripley … So many cult films that made you want to book a weekend in the Eternal City. That's good, the trip is completed in 2 hours with Transavia which has just added flights, direction Rome and its incomparable atmosphere. Follow the guide and andiamo .

Pack your bags at the Hoxton

A five-minute walk from the sublime gardens of the Villa Borghese , the coolissime Hoxton (Paris, London, Amsterdam, etc.) has installed its 200 rooms since last year, as comfortable as you can wish, using the codes dear to the house: beautiful parquet , insane lamps ( Murano glass chandeliers , mamma mia ), 50's bathrooms and beautiful custom-made headboards. Special mention for the Roomy Terrace room with its outdoor space in full sun for a 100% dolce vita delirium...

Before going to dinner, we go down to the bar of the Cugino or downright on the terrace for an aperitivo around a good cocktail / Prosecco and nibbles offered by the house, as is the custom here.

Rates between €129 and €309 per night

The Hoxton Rome , Largo Benedetto Marcello, 220, 00198 Rome RM

Booker un dîner chez Remittance Roscioli

On the banks of the Tiber , Roman foodies pass on the name of Rimessa Roscioli , a reference address for a real Italian dinner in a friendly trattoria atmosphere where bottles of wine (natural for many) are lined up from floor to ceiling. .

Complete, the tasting menu at € 49 offers the two favorites of the menu, namely the tagliolini cacio e pepe and the memorable spice meatballs and orange sauce: a vast killer. Some will tell you that “ Rimessa also serves as an anthology tiramisu…

Via del Conservatorio, 58, 00186 Roma RM

Put your picnic at Villa Borghese

Impossible to come to Rome without stalling an afternoon at the Villa Borghese . For the best experience, grab some Roman-style sandwiches at the cult Marziali 1922 café with prosciutto, mozzarella and tasty vegetables wrapped in pizza dough. We cut them in four (or not) for you and we transport our box to the gardens. There, we settle near a fountain or we simply rent a boat to sail on the waters and sunbathe in a dream setting.

It is also thought to reserve its place in advance for the Galleria Borghese , an intello institution full of masterpieces of Caravaggio , Botticelli or Bernin and , at the moment, an exhibition dedicated to Guido Reni around nature. Worship.

Piazzale Napoleone I, 00197 Rome RM

I will visit the ville en Vespa

Typical but above all very practical to avoid traffic, visiting Rome by Vespa is a virtual necessity. The most seasoned can rent them freely on their side by studying in advance the corners not to be missed. But the ultimate must is to go through Scooteroma and its fleet of (charming) bilingual guides who take you to the essential points by telling you the history of the city and their funny anecdotes of real Romans.

Among the unforgettable stops, hair in the wind: the Palazzo del Quirinale, the Colosseum, the Baths of Caracalla , the Ancient Appian Way , the Trastevere district or the Gianicolo belvedere with an incredibly romantic view of the whole city. We take a break for a latte / cannolo snack , without forgetting to grab a gelato at Otaleg at the end of the journey .

Count around €150 per person for the tour with guide/driver, online quote on scooteroma.com

Take a tour of the best vintage shops

Rome is full of trendy stalls to hunt for designer pieces, patinated cowboy boots, 70's dresses and other nuggets that hide on Via del Governo Vecchio and Via Monserrato .

Also note: Humana Vintage a stone's throw from Place Navona and its clean shelves, King Size Vintage near the Colosseum for Fendi pieces and the cool utilitarian locker room ( Bella Hadid herself offered herself a visit, her arms full of accessories à logos) and other addresses recommended on Insta by the most stylish Danish woman aka Pernille Rosenkilde .

Brunch in a wild greenhouse

At the top of the hill of Monte Mario, Le Serre by ViVi is a real haven of greenery full of light in the middle of a botanical garden with glass roof, wild decor and maxi bar with the Campari logo . If the menu may seem a bit crazy, we avoid Asian burgers and bowls to orient ourselves instead towards veggie pasta (14 €), roasted potatoes, avocado toast, sautéed mushrooms and homemade pastries (choco vegan, carrot cake… 6- €7) or a complete brunch menu (€25).

On the drinks side , the fluffy pistacchio latte is a little sweet, unless you prefer a detox juice or, therefore, a well- beaten Campari Spritz enjoying the rays through the glass ceiling or live from the terrace. All right .

Reservation strongly recommended.
