You’re going to love this Brazilian table!

We absolutely loved his small eatery in the 9th arrondissement. Since then, the charming Brazilian chef Raphael Rego has gone bigger, unveiling a new chapter with the opening of a double symmetrical restaurant: the Michelin-starred OKA on one side and its “wild little brother” Fogo on the other, both connected by a central shared kitchen. It’s this latter spot that really caught our attention. With its concept of flame-grilled cuisine, the Rio de Janeiro native, now settled in Paris for love, invites guests to savor superb grilled dishes in a particularly stylish setting. The verdict? We bet it will soon become one of your favorite spots.

I invite you to a barbecue in the bay of Rio

What could be more joyful than a barbecue evening with family or friends? Raphael Rego drew from his memories of Rio and Sydney to create Fogo (“fire” in the original Portuguese), a small but mighty restaurant that’s shaking up the very chic Wagram district. First, the décor! Comfortably settled into large armchairs (bliss), you’ll admire both the stunning mural by Florence Bamberger and the hefty cuts of meat awaiting their turn on the green marble counter overlooking the kitchen. While the passionate chef mingles with diners, spreading a contagious good mood, you can feel the team’s focus once back in the kitchen.

Things are heating up!

Carte/menu du restaurant fogo

Get into the chic Copacabana vibe right away by ordering a Caipirinha that you’ll rave about later. To accompany your cocktail, start by sharing golden Dadinho de Tapioca with chili and citrus (14 €), devilish little sausages with caramelized onion condiment (14 €), and for an appetizer, a smoked garlic picanha tartare with farofa (19 €). Then, dive into the main courses, like monkfish with Brazilian-style rice (29 €), marbled beef fillet with garden vegetables and confit potatoes (47 €), or large platters of grilled meats and fish to share, depending on what’s available.

A sweet way to end the meal: delightful creations by pastry chef Alexandre Lauret, such as the Brazil nut Saint-Honoré (16 €) or a candied lemon and vanilla praline millefeuille (18 €).

Open Monday to Saturday, lunch and dinner.
