The most stylish festivals of the summer

The grand mass of festivals is about to begin! It's up to you to book your favorites before tickets sell out among the absolute must-go events: We Love Green, Rock en Seine, Solidays, Hypnotize, or even Flyin’ Festival… Now, all that’s left is to prepare outfits worthy of Coachella to ensure a few stories on Insta.

The most inclusive : Solidays

The pitch: It’s one of the biggest annual events for AIDS awareness. Since 1999, Solidays has been working to set up aid programs for patients and prevention efforts, thanks to renowned artists who continue to draw crowds.

On stage: Hard to find a lineup trendier than this one, with Gims, Damso, Zaho de Sagazan, and even DJ Fisher headlining. For those nostalgic for y2k, there’s also Sean Paul or MC Solaar. And we hear whispers that new names will be announced in early April.

The must: Get cultured and refine your opinion by listening to committed and fascinating talks at the Social Club, with renowned speakers (Bill Gates, Christiane Taubira, Raphaël Glucksmann have already spoken there), covering topics like climate change, the fight against violence against women, and other current issues.

Solidays, from June 27 to 29 at Hippodrome de Longchamps, 2 route des tribunes, Paris 16e. From €35. Online reservations.

The most eco-friendly: We Love Green

The pitch: No need to go to the other side of the world to experience a wild thrill… Put on flower crowns and high-waisted denim shorts and head to We Love Green at Bois de Vincennes. On the agenda? Concerts, short film screenings, and arty performances in a highly chill atmosphere, overseen by the super agency We Love Art (Nuit Blanche, The Peacock Society).

On stage: Friday, DJs and French rap (Laylow, Tiakola, Paul Kalkbrenner, Kavinsky…), Saturday, BRAT and electro vibes (Charli XCX, Air, Magdalena Bay, Amélie Lens…), and Sunday, an exclusive France concert by the legendary LCD Soundsystem, sharing the stage that day with Clara Luciani or FKA Twigs.

The must: On the food side, just like last year’s edition, a 100% veggie food court and reusable tableware—a first for a festival in France.

We Love Green, from June 6 to 8 at Bois de Vincennes, Paris 12e. From €70. Online reservations.

The most boho-chic: Rock en Seine

The pitch: It’s our very own Glastonbury… but chicer. Rock en Seine means three days of amazing parties, pop rock and electro concerts, wild dancing, and stargazing flirtations. A great way to wrap up summer with friends at the gates of Paris, in one of the most beautiful gardens in Île-de-France, the Domaine de Saint-Cloud.

On stage: Check out this ultra-sharp lineup featuring rising stars Chappell Roan, Doechii, A$AP Rocky, Justice, Jorja Smith, plus Queens of the Stone Age, Fontaines D.C, DJ Anyma, London Grammar, and Vampire Weekend

The must: Mini Rock, a small festival inside the big one, where kids can enjoy concerts and DIY workshops supervised by professionals while their parents rock out.

Rock en Seine, from August 20 to 24, Domaine de Saint-Cloud. From €79. Online reservations.

The most worldwide: Lollapalooza

The pitch: Since the Olympics deprived us of it last year, this year it’s all the more the must-go of the festival season. Lollapalooza, a true giant in its field, has managed to expand to seven countries and diversify its lineups. Originally alt-rock, today the festival hosts legendary and trending artists alike.

On stage: Girl Power takes over this year, with the cutest and sassiest teenage girl of the moment, Olivia Rodrigo, alongside the glam rock quintet The Last Dinner Party, and R&B phenomenon RAYE. On the must-see list, we also have David Guetta, Macklemore, and the iconic Justin Timberlake.

The must: A music experience, but not just that—the festival also offers a Fashion Week-inspired village, a street food market, and even “Lolla Planète”, designed for kids. So, are we meeting up at Hippodrome de Longchamp?

Lollapalooza, from July 18 to 20, 2025, at Hippodrome Paris Longchamp. From €89. Online reservations.

Outside Paris:

The most vintage: Rétro C Trop

The pitch: A modern-day Woodstock, just 1 hour from Paris, can we believe it? Rétro C Trop is the festival that’s never too retro, where you’ll run into all your favorite artists from your teenage years (or even your parents’). A space-time rift that’s ultra feel-good and already legendary.

On stage: Punk is not dead for this 2025 edition: headlining, the Sex Pistols (yes, yes…)! But also The Godfather of the genre: Iggy Pop. And it doesn’t stop there: British rockers The Stranglers, Rival Sons, and even former Mano Negra member Manu Chao. In short, an original and exclusive lineup for France.

The must: A 100% good old days atmosphere: vinyl stands, hippie jewelry and clothing vendors, but also arcade games and pinball machines, plus vintage car and Volkswagen bus exhibitions…

The most rap: Hypnotize

The pitch: Rap fans, this is insane! For its first edition, the traveling festival Hypnotize, stopping in Lyon and Bordeaux, is making a huge impact. Its goal? To celebrate rap culture, beyond just the music.

On stage: The biggest names in rap take turns on the mic: headlining, the Duke of Boulogne, Booba, but also Vald, Jok’air, and Laylow in Lyon, and SCH in Bordeaux. Plus, emerging or underground artists who will soon be headliners: aupinard, Bu$hi, Prince Waly, Dalí...

The must: Rap battles, breakdance battles, and even live graffiti—there’s no way we’re missing this event dedicated to urban culture!

Hypnotize Festival, Lyon, June 13-14, 2025, at Grand Parc Miribel Jonage de Vaulx-en-Velin, and Bordeaux, September 5-6, 2025, at Parc des Expositions. From €74.90.

The most chill: Flyin’ Festival

The pitch: Time to take off for Royan and enjoy Flyin’ Festival, this under-the-radar electro event, ultra trendy and literally facing the sea! This vacation-flavored festival guarantees an evening with a view of the Cordouan Lighthouse, accompanied by a lineup and an atmosphere set to be epic.

On stage: DJ sets and top-notch house and electro artists: the neo French touch gods Bon Entendeur, the Parisian duo Les Yeux Orange, but also Terrence Parker, and the already international LB aka LABAT.

The must: The height of cool, this dream spot is also a skater haven. If, like Avril Lavigne, you’re looking for a Sk8ter Boi, perfect—otherwise, just watch the ollies and other tricks while soaking in the festival’s pure vibes.

Flyin’ Festival, from June 7 to 8, 2025, Royan, Saint-Palais-sur-Mer. From €30.

The sunniest: Cabourg Mon Amour

The pitch: Cabourg Mon Amour is a seaside festival, just 2 hours from Paris. This Normandy-made festival offers a fantastic lineup with electro sets on the beach and tons of food trucks. Picture intimate concerts at sunset, with feet-in-the-water aperitifs and late-night flirtation.

On stage: A sharp selection of local and international artists, like Jyeuhair (from Nouvelle École), the super chill Parisian duo Papooz, the drag queen Piche from the Olympics opening ceremony, and DJ Dylan Dylan, all performing barefoot in the sand, by the water.

The must: Festival vibes required, so you’ll be sleeping in a tent (or under the stars) in the adorable little campsites set up nearby.

Festival Cabourg Mon Amour, from June 19 to 21, at Plage de Cap Cabourg, Cabourg. From €79. Online reservations.
